FAQ

Are images uploaded to a server?

No. Uploads and camera frames are decoded locally. URL images are fetched by the browser and require CORS access from the remote host.

Why does decoding fail in some browsers?

This tool uses the native BarcodeDetector API. If QR detection is unsupported, switch to Chrome, Edge, or Android Chrome.
